What is Club Volleyball?
Club Volleyball is a girls only USA Juniors Organization designed for teaching, promoting and growing players, coaches, and interest in volleyball in the South Central Kentucky area including multiple counties surrounding Warren County.
Goals for the Season
We will strive to improve each girl’s individual skills and team concepts. This will also help players achieve their goals for the high school and middle school teams next year.
Coaching Points
The development of coaches is crucial to growing the sport in our region. Experienced coaches will be placed with inexperienced coaches to train for the future. Coaches will be required to attend a local clinic with WKU Coach, Travis Hudson, our club’s Coaching Consultant. Also our coaches will have a background check in order to insure good quality in our club. Coaches will be assigned a team after tryouts have been conducted.
Travel Team season
Practice began January 7 for Traveling Teams and their season will run through April. Events will be scheduled mainly close to home. (Nashville, Louisville, Owensboro.) Exposure for college opportunities will be considered.
Regional Teams season
Regional teams will be formed based on ability with limited scrimmages. We hope to reach out and include everyone interested. Regional Teams will have skills sessions in January and February and practices in March and April.
Practice Details
Facilities will include WKU Auxiliary Gym, Bowling Green Park & Recreation, Phil Moore Park (Eastside) and other sites yet to be determined. Times will be determined after teams are selected.
